How much Natpro to use

A 100gm (3.5 oz) dispenser contains 3333 mg of progesterone. One full pump delivers 1.5ml/50mg. The minimum amount needed is 100mg per day which is two full pumps (one in the morning and one in the evening). You may need to use more if your sumptoms are severe.

There are numerous misconceptions about how much progesterone cream you should use. For general use and to reverse mild symptoms wee recommend between 100-200pmg per day and this is based on the progesterone concentration of Natpro which is 3.33%. (it contains 33.3mg per gram or ml). Depending on the severity of your symptoms you may need to use much more than this,(400-500mg per day) and if your cream has a lower concentration of progesterone, you would need to increase your dosage to receive the same amount of progesterone daily. Once the severe symptoms have passed it is essential that the you reduce the amount you are using slowly over a few weeks until you are at the optimum level. If you reduce the amount of progesterone you are using too rapidly, you will experience the adverse effects of estrogen dominance.

It is also recommended to apply Natpro twice a day as levels start to drop after about 12-13 hours.

When first starting progesterone it can disrupt the cycle. Periods can be either earlier or later than normal. This is nothing to be concerned about, the normal cycle length will assert itself within a few cycles.

If spotting only occurs, continue using the progesterone until bleeding starts.

If a full period occurs stop using the progesterone, and begin it again 12-14 days before the next period. For further explanation on this see under Normal Cycle Lengths below.

Bleeding can be heavier in the first few cycles, also nothing to be concerned about. This is old lining which has not been shed previously.
